Never more -

I don't use Livejournal anymore - except to keep updated on some friends blog entries. I will no longer be posting in this journal.

...

Loneliness is a feeling where people experience a powerful surge of emptiness and solitude. Loneliness is more than the feeling of wanting company or wanting to do something with another person. Someone lonely may find it hard to form human contact.

It's been a long time...

Even though I haven't posted anything on my livejournal in over a year, that doesn't mean that I haven't been watching the LJ world.. I've read your posts and watched all kinds of communities, I just haven't done any postings of my own - and now, as I seem to have lost everything, I turn to livejournal again.

I guess I never updated because I felt that I had to explain everything that happened since my last post - and most of the time it would take too long. But now, I'm starting anew. I'll gladly share my story if you're curious, but for now, I'll just be using this journal as an outlet - to release some of my thoughts and feelings.

I spent a lot of this evening reading some of my previous journal entries. It's odd to read back on all of those old words and see how easy my life used to be. I would bitch and complain about things that were meaningless and I often wondered how I was going to make it through those "tough times".

In my mind, I always thought that as I got older, things would get less complicated and the progression of age would bring along times of stress-free happiness. Now, I am not saying that I have never been happy - that's definitely not the case. It's just that I never realized that my life could be this hard. It seems that emotional pain almost always hurts worse than physical pain. Is it because we punish ourselves for our pain? Even if it wasn't our fault...

My guilt and shame are overwhelming - and I just can't seem to get past it.

Hurricane prediction

Okay, since hurricane season has "officially" begun, (with tropical storm Alberto knocking on Florida's door) it's time for me to make my 2006 predictions.

As most of you know, I predicted hurricane Katrina would be a disaster at the beginning of last summer, and we all know how that turned out...

So here goes...... HURRICANE ISSAC

So there's my prediction... I also think Hurricane Leslie is going to be an annoyance. ; )

We'll see....

UPDATE!!!

Hello fellow Lj-ians.. I guess it's time for a real update from me..

I've kept myself pretty busy - mostly with medical issues and work (I know, fun!)

As I mentioned before, I was doing some physical therapy in April and May. When my physical therapist realized that he wasn't helping me any, he sent me back to the orthopedic surgeon who then told me to "wait six weeks and see if it goes away." Lovely. So I went back to my doctor and he suggested I go see a rhumatologist. Turns out, my appointment with the rhumatologist isn't until July 5th. So much for not "waiting six weeks, huh?"

So to top that off, I got second degree burns on my fingers today (damn soup) and the dog bit my foot instead of the stuffed hot dog. Lovely.

Other than that, things seem to be going pretty well. Being the assistant manager is one of the most stressful jobs I've ever had... yet, I kind of like it. HOPEFULLY I'll get paid soon so I can afford the iPod I bought today. : /

Cole's doing fine also, we haven't gotten to talk much lately because of time differences and internet problems. : ( We'll get through - that's just the downside of having a relationship with someone in the military. September can't get here soon enough.

That's all dears! I've got some great pictures to post from LB's SUPER SWEET SIXTEEN : ) Later!

Okay, since I was tagged, I guess I have to do it...

Once you are tagged you MUST write a blog entry about your 6 weird habits/things as well as state this rule clearly. In the end, you need to choose the next seven people to be tagged and list their names.

1. I cannot drive if my windshield is dirty. I buy washer fluid at least once a month - and there's always an extra bottle of it in my trunk.

2. I'm completely obsessed with weddings. I love everything about them. I even get subscription to bridal magazines - not because I want to get married soon, but I just like reading about it. I really want to be a wedding planner (for at least a part-time job)

3. It really bothers me when people complain about being in bad relationships. If you are not happy 100% of the time, get out of the relationship. End of story.

4. Long distant relationships do work, it just takes some effort. I'm in one now and I couldn't be happier. It takes strength and trust to make them work - people who say they're impossible don't have what it takes.

5. I love plays and musicals. When I go to watch them, I get so involved in the production that when there is a break in the show (scene changes, intermission, etc.) I start clapping and I get the feeling like I'm about to cry, but I never do. I don't know why that happens.

6. I feel very lucky to have the life that I do. I love my family, and I usually go and hang out with my grandparents on a weekly basis. I also talk with my cousins online mostly every day. I feel that my family is most important. I feel bad for people that have small families or families that don't talk to each other.

I guess that's it... So I'll tag some more people now... YOU BETTER DO IT!

TAG YOU'RE IT: Sarah, Anna, Cole, Melissa, Betsey, tanyajc, and psykoticangel.

Ho Ho HO

Right now, I feel like I've been sitting in a cave for the past 24 hours (which, I guess you could say is true) I've spent most of my time down in the video editing studios in the comm. building working on my digital media assignment. I'm still not happy with it so I'll probably be working all day on it tomorrow. I'll show you a piece of the work... title page )

That's all. I'm exhausted.

I've gotten a lot of grief about my lack of posting recently, so I'm telling you all now that I'm going to begin posting again. I'm not going to cover anything that has been going on since I last posted because it would take forever. So, I'm starting here and now. And, I'll post some pictures too. These are the family pictures that we took a few weeks ago. I think they turned out pretty well. Photos )

Spring break starts in 4 days, and I'm going to MEBANE! (I know, I am a very exciting person) But, I am going to the Durham Museum of Life and Science on Saturday with Carrie, Taylor, and Cole. If anyone else would like to join, call me!

That's all for now, Happy PI DAY everyone!!!!!

Edit: I would like everyone to know that the spell checker says that "Mebane" is not a word. It tries to change it to Meanie. That is all. : )

Well, I'm sure you all want to hear about how my trip is going so I'm not
going to sugar coat a single thing: it SUCKS. First, after my flight
fiasco (missing the crossover flight and having to fly directly out of
Newark as a standby) I made it to London 30 minutes before the rest of my
class. I met them at their baggage claim (because my baggage was floating
around Washington somewhere) We got to the hotel, checked in, and had a
great day touring. Today was fine too, we rode the tube, went on a tour in
the Tower of London (which was great) and then went to eat. I would also
like to report that my bag was stolen out from under my feet (with the
handle around my foot) while eating at the restaurant with my two professors, Nancy, Beth, and Lauren. I have no money, no card, no passport and no clothes (because once again, my luggage is missing). I have my camera (thank GOD), £20, the clothes that I rode the plane on, an extra pair of socks (that I got on the plane) and a few pairs of underwear. Other than that, I'm dirty,
oily, and tired, and I've probably cried 40 out of the last 48 hours. Dad's
cancelled my credit card and he's going to send me a card soon (while I'm in
London at least) I'll bum some money off of Nancy until then. We're going to see the musical, "We Will Rock You" tonight at seven thirty so that should be fun. My professors made sure I got another ticket as well as a new tube pass.

Until next time,
Long live London (ha.)
